However, no matter how amazing a city is, you sometimes need to take a break and drive down a quiet main street in a charming town. Today, we’re looking at our favorite small towns within driving distance of Fayetteville.

Hitting the soon? Our new BMW inventory has something for every kind of driver. From the luxurious BMW X7 to the dynamic 3 Series, there are plenty of ways to elevate your driving experience at our Fayetteville BMW dealership.

1. Hope Mills

If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of Fayetteville, we highly recommend checking out Stop Button Bar at 4251 Legion Rd #127. For $5 to $10, you can play unlimited arcade games and console games that will take you back to your childhood. Just a few classic arcade games you can play include Asteroids, Frogger, Space Invaders, and Stargate. You can also play such shooters as:

  • Big Buck Hunter
  • CarnEvil
  • Operation Ghost
  • Terminator 2

If you have kids, you should also consider visiting Circle M Farms at 216 Menscer Drive. Future equestrians of any age can get one-hour private lessons at a stable that has bred champion horses for over three decades.

2. Spring Lake

If you need to unwind after a long, stressful week at work, you should strongly consider going down to Carvers Creek State Park at 2505 Long Valley Road. Located in this state park is Long Valley Farm, featuring three miles of multi-use trails. Just keep in mind that you should stay as far right on the trail as you can so cyclists or runners can pass you safely if you’re walking. You can also picnic and fish here.

If you feel like three miles of trails isn’t long enough for you, Sandhills in Carvers Creek State Park features 10.5 miles of trails open to hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders. You can choose from seven loop and one-way trails of varying lengths, and all trails are clearly marked.

3. Eastover

When we feel the need to get out of town for a while, we love heading over to Talley Woodland Park. It can be found adjacent to the Eastover Community Center at 4008 School Road. This stunningly beautiful, peaceful park features several wooden bridges and a babbling brook cascading along the edge of the woods. If you visit this public park, we recommend bringing a sketchbook and charcoal or camera to capture the beauty.
