A First Look at the 2024 BMW 440i

The BMW 4 Series is a tidy coupe with tons of power and personality. The 2024 BMW 440i has a few important technology feature upgrades for drivers to check out at their local BMW dealer. 

The 2024 440i has two trim levels: the M440i and the M440i xDrive. Both models have a powerful 3.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, which generates a whopping 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This speedy coupe is also outfitted with a responsive eight-speed sport automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters. This drivetrain is paired with Sport and Manual shift modes, as well as Launch Control.

M440i

The M440i can go from zero to sixty in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 130 MPH. This BMW gets 24 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the interstate. This trim comes with 18-inch M double-spoke bi-colored wheels and all-season run-flat tires. Key exterior features include power-folding heated outside mirrors, a rear spoiler, and air breathers. 


The interior trim for this model is SensaTec upholstery with an Anthracite headliner and Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite trim. This model also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless device charging, and BMW ConnectedDrive services. A three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, cloud-based navigation system, and dynamic cruise control top off the interior features. 

M440i xDrive

The acceleration speed for the xDrive model is 4.3 seconds. This trim gets 22 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the interstate. This trim has a five-line rear suspension, M Sport brakes with blue calipers, and the xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The xDrive model also comes with real-time traffic information, hazard preview, and BMW Remote Services. 


In the cabin, key features include a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch central information display, hands-free Bluetooth, and a rear window defroster. This trim also has multi-zone climate control, multicolor ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic headlight control, and power front seats with power lumbar support.
